WashedUp exists to help people in Los Angeles find others to do things with. That only works if the community feels safe, respectful, and genuine. These guidelines apply to everything you do on WashedUp — your profile, plans, messages, and interactions with other users.
Be Respectful
- Treat everyone with kindness. You don’t have to agree with everyone, but you do have to be decent. No insults, personal attacks, or putting people down.
- No harassment or bullying. Repeated unwanted messages, intimidation, stalking, doxxing, or any behavior intended to make someone feel unsafe is strictly prohibited.
- Respect boundaries. If someone doesn’t respond or declines an invitation, move on. No means no.
- Be honest. Use your real name and photos. Fake profiles and impersonation undermine trust.
No Hate Speech or Discrimination
WashedUp has zero tolerance for hate speech, slurs, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This includes “jokes,” dogwhistles, and coded language. If it’s designed to dehumanize or exclude, it doesn’t belong here.
No Explicit or Sexual Content
WashedUp is not a dating app. Do not post sexually explicit photos, messages, or content. Do not use plans or messages to solicit sexual encounters. Profiles, photos, and messages should be appropriate for a general audience.
No Spam, Scams, or Solicitation
- No commercial promotion unless explicitly authorized by WashedUp. Don’t use plans to promote your business, MLM, or paid events.
- No scams or fraud. Don’t deceive other users for financial gain or personal information.
- No spam. Don’t send bulk messages, create fake plans, or flood the platform with repetitive content.
- No solicitation. Don’t use WashedUp to recruit for organizations, campaigns, or causes without authorization.
No Illegal Activity
Do not use WashedUp to plan, promote, or facilitate illegal activity. This includes but is not limited to drug sales, violence, theft, or any activity that violates local, state, or federal law.
Safety at Events
- WashedUp connects people — we don’t organize or supervise events. Use common sense when meeting new people.
- Meet in public places, especially the first time.
- Tell a friend where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, leave.
- Report any user who makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or threatened.

The short version
Be a good human. Treat people the way you’d want to be treated. Don’t be creepy, don’t be hateful, don’t try to sell stuff. We’re all here to find people to do things with.
